Embark on a New Journey in a Reliable and Affordable Vehicle

Embark on a New Journey in a Reliable and Affordable Vehicle

With a driver’s licence in hand and plans to study, the world is waiting for you to go out and make your mark. As a young adult, this is an exciting time in your life, but without the right affordable car for students, the brakes might be applied to your future travels and adventures.

Whether you are working or studying, having access to your own transport is always a huge advantage. For students, finding an affordable car for sale will not only help them get from A to B, but they will be able to visit different libraries and research centres and not have the added stress of worrying about getting to class on time. The other advantage of students having access to their own cars is that it takes the effort out of having to cart around heavy books, files, study material and stationery.

When it comes to looking for affordable cars in South Africa, especially for students, the price always seems to be the main focus. However, aside from affordability, other factors which must be taken into consideration are reliability, safety and comfort. Space might also be an issue if you are planning on a carpool for other students who might not have a licence or car of their own. Also, if you are studying in another province, you might need a vehicle with space for when you transport your clothes and other items to the college or varsity campus.

At GWM there is an impressive and wide range of suitable vehicles for motorists to choose from. Each vehicle is equipped with various features to help make your journey as smooth as possible. So, whether you are a student or a working professional, when you head out into the great big world, do it in style.

Havel Motors South Africa is a subsidiary of GWM China and now they look after the GWM brand sales and after sales support in South Africa. With dealerships situated across the country, you will want to pay them a visit to find the vehicle which is right for you before you embark on a new journey.

GWM Reviews What Customers Need

Purchasing a new vehicle seems daunting at first. After you’ve worked out your budget and tried setting aside some money for a deposit, you face the prospect of having to browse all that is on offer.

This is simplified by understanding what exactly you want from your vehicle, what you can expect from it in the future and how it integrates with your life, all while suiting your budget. Here are a few things to consider when you are on the lookout for a new vehicle.

Model

One of the main things to consider, once you embark on the journey of purchasing a new vehicle, is understanding which model you need. Finding a model that suits your exact requirements should be the highest priority.

If you have a large family, then you should consider driving a crossover like the GWM M4. If you manage a small business or need a vehicle that can lug your equipment along, then you should look at purchasing a GWM Bakkie. You should keep family and space in mind when deciding between the single or double cab variants.

Budget

Here is where many people tend to get tangled in a web of pressured and ill-advised choices. When you budget for a car, make sure you understand all the other factors that play a part in the price such as how inflation will impact your budget, the insurance and service costs.

Luckily, your budget is safe as the GWM prices include a warranty suited to the vehicle along with roadside assistance and the option of an extended service plan. This, combined with the fact that base GWM prices remained stable in recent years, allows you to comfortably consider your options.

Customer Service

Not all are equal when it comes to service. Thus, purchasing your vehicle from the right brand means you embark on this journey on a steady foot. Make sure the brand you choose offers you assured assistance, like that offered to GWM Bakkie and M4 Crossover owners.

As stated before, each GWM includes a warranty suited to the vehicle along with the option of an extended service plan. Owners also have the luxury of having access to any and all contact details of all the GWM accredited dealerships across South Africa.

GWM Launches Intensified Attack On South African Bakkie Market

GWM Steed 6

Through its high-value bakkie offerings GWM has already established itself as a significant player in the South African single- and double-cab pick-up segments. Now, with the introduction of a restructured Steed line-up that is even more in tune with South African requirements, the company is bullish about its growth prospects in what are two of South Africa's largest-volume market segments.

"The realigned Steed line-up is the result of close cooperation between GWM South Africa and Great Wall Motors in China," says Hannes Oosthuizen, Brand Manager of GWM SA. "South Africa loves bakkies, and GWM is already well-established in that regard, but with this new line-up, we will offer a model range that not only stretches wider than most, but one which is made up of variants that have been carefully specified and positioned to comply with South African consumer trends and requirements," he explains. "From the fitment of a rear differential lock as standard on some models, to the development of a new, more affordable turbodiesel engine for the local market, the revised line-up shows that GWM South Africa listens to its customers."

Kokkedoor's Nic van Wyk Sold On GWM

Kokkedoor's Nic van Wyk Sold On GWM

GWM's high-profile sponsorship of the second season of the smash-hit Afrikaans reality cooking show, Kokkedoor, also entailed supplying co-host and judge, Nic van Wyk, with an H5 2,0 VGT to drive for a year. With the sponsorship having run its course, Nic was faced with a dilemma - he had to buy a car!

His year with the H5 was, however, enough to convince him that a GWM was the way to go. As a "double-cab man", his final choice was a Steed 5 2,4 4x2. "You just can't beat the value," he explains. "I've driven many bakkies in my life and considering the Steed's capability, features and price," there's simply nothing out there that comes close. I also had great service from the GWM Helderberg branch during my year with the H5."

GWM Steed 5 Shines In Kinsey Report

Steed 5 Double Cab

GWM's popular Steed 5 Double-Cab has once again achieved a solid second place in its category in the annual Kinsey Report, which analyses the parts prices of South Africa's best-selling vehicles. In this year's report Malcolm Kinsey has investigated the service, repair and crash parts of 72 popular vehicles sold in South Africa, including GWM's Steed 5.

Competing in the Double-Cab segment along with seven other vehicles, the Steed 5 had the second most-affordable parts basket. One example of the Steed 5's parts affordability that was highlighted was the cost of a replacement driver's door window glass, which in the GWM's case costs only R326, while the same item for a popular Japanese contender demands a heady R2 170!
