Inbound Team Leader

Main Purpose of Job:

Oversee daily inbound team operations, ensuring high productivity, quality, and adherence to company policies. Manage the receipt, processing, and stocking of Haval Parts orders at the Parts PDC to optimise stock availability and enhance customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualification:

  • A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including picking, packing, packaging, and dispatch processes.

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to analyse operational data to drive improvements in efficiency.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to address challenges as they arise.

Technical Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of stock control processes and inbound shipment management.
  • Experience with quality control measures and discrepancy reporting.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety standards, including 5S and LEAN principles.

Principal Areas of Accountability:

  • Lead the Inbound Team to ensure all Parts orders and shipments are received, processed, and stocked within designated service level times.
  • Oversee daily operations to maintain productivity and quality standards in receiving inbound orders.
  • Prepare, schedule, and track all inbound shipments (road, air, sea) for timely processing.
  • Allocate teams and resources efficiently to minimize delays and excess storage.
  • Conduct thorough checks on all parts ordered, reconciling with delivery notes to identify any discrepancies or damages.
  • Ensure that all stock is correctly binned and reconciled with invoices.
  • Handle parts supply discrepancies, including invoiced but not supplied items or damaged goods during transit.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S and LEAN principles.
  • Motivate and manage team performance levels, conducting regular meetings to communicate expectations, resolve issues, and provide feedback.
